Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works with business units, technology teams and support teams to ensure business and technical requirements are developed accurately.
  • Comply with control standards & methodologies for SDLC user and system documentation according to company standards.
  • Provide constant feedback and guide system analysts towards best practices
  • Supports Technical Writer’s and other System Analysts to solicit input and elicits requirements from Business Area and Technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) using interviews and/or JAD sessions, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business and technical analysis, and task and workflow analysis. Drives and challenges business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Ensure best practice use of applications by keeping abreast with technology to ensure optimal performance of the applications. Recommend system designs which would enhance future IT systems.
  • Write documentation involving wireless technologies, Oracle databases and Oracle software applications, and other platforms such as HP, UNIX and JAVA
  • Works independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project manager(s)
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers and Software Development Teams and will be primarily responsible for creating, editing, and tracking all technical documentation related to the project. Candidate should possess knowledge of all documentation related to the development life cycle (SDLC), to include:
    • JAD System/Software Requirements Documentation
    • Use Case Documentation
    • System/Software Design Documentation
    • Database Description Documentation
    • System Testing Documentation
    • System/Software Installation Guides
    • User Manuals
    • Experience developing technical training content
    • Create technical specification documents (Requirements Traceability)
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, with minimal direction.
  • Must understand the SDLC and Agile development environment.
  • Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Participates in Quality Assurance reviews to ensure document quality, completeness, accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilizes experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
  • Supports Project Manager and Client to implement long term process improvements.
  • Attend change management activities, including new business planning and requests for change and change schedule.
  • Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be consider in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • Master's degree a plus
