Job Description The Business Systems Administrator is responsible for system administration of custom applications developed to support operations. Oversees application patching and upgrades, application configuration and security, report development and writing SQL queries against the database. Monitors system stability, troubleshooting, and security setup. Troubleshoots and maintains interfaces to LDAP and identity management system within all supported applications. Manages user provisioning process to ensure proper level of access is granted to applications. Works with third party vendors and other Technology department work centers as needed for installs, upgrades, and troubleshooting issues. Serves as Tier 2 support for web servers, application servers, portals, and directory services. Works with the development team to support custom application environment installs, upgrades, and deployment. Participates in on call support as required.
Qualifications Required Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Prior experience providing Tier 2 support for enterprise class applications is required. Experience with report writing tools is needed. Must possess basic database administration skills and basic understanding of web servers, application servers, portal technologies, LDAP, and J2EE applications. Experience with Oracle and Solaris/UNIX and knowledge of PL/SQL language is preferred. Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. A valid driver's license is required.
